Amanda Stefanatos is an experienced litigator specializing in medical malpractice defense. She has defended all types of negligence cases at every phase of litigation in both state and federal court. Amanda has also successfully tried cases to verdict as lead counsel. Her attention to detail, thorough preparation, commitment to understanding the complex medical issues involved in a case, and empathetic approach to litigation, allow her to partner with her clients to develop meaningful strategies to resolve matters efficiently and successfully.
Amanda’s practice primarily consists of defending medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuits, but also includes psychiatric malpractice, nursing malpractice, premises liability and general liability as well as representation of medical providers throughout investigations by the Department of Public Health. Amanda is currently on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Defense Lawyer’s Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Amanda was a partner at a mid-size litigation firm in Bridgeport, Connecticut defending catastrophic personal injury cases. She also has experience prosecuting and defending high-exposure coverage litigation. Amanda obtained her undergraduate degree from Boston University in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and then obtained her law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Connecticut.
Amanda currently resides in Newtown, Connecticut with her husband and three daughters.
