In February 2026, Eric Stockman and Chris Daniel achieved a defense verdict in Lisa Lawruszko v. Yale New Haven Hospital et al.  Plaintiff claimed that a Yale surgeon negligently transected her bile duct and injured her spleen during the removal of a large tumor from her liver called a hemangioma.  Attorneys Stockman and Daniel proved that their client not only met and exceeded the standards applicable to the surgery, but that the skill of the Yale surgeons saved her life.   Plaintiff asked for 5 million dollars in closing; the jury deliberated slightly more than an hour before rendering a defense verdict.
