Attorneys Eric Stockman, Scott Jarvis, and Rebecca Brindley prevailed on a wrongful death claim

After a three-week trial, Attorneys Eric Stockman, Scott Jarvis, and Rebecca Brindley prevailed on a wrongful death claim against an interventional cardiologist and her employer, a CT based hospital system.  Plaintiffs claimed that defendants misplaced a pacemaker lead in the wrong chamber of the heart, leading to destruction of the patient’s mitral valve, open heart surgery, and eventual death.  SOC proved that the physician met and exceeded the standard of care, and that the patient had a 1 in 100,000 heart anomaly that caused the pacemaker lead to become misdirected and ultimately dislodged.  Plaintiffs demanded $4 million in closing.
